I always feel so refreshed when I work out in the morning. I have more energy and am comforted by the fact that I can go home, slip into my lululemon still pants and know that I’m done for the day.
This morning, I got back into my AM workout routine that I was in right after hubs left for BCT. I am THREE FOR THREE FRIENDS. 3 down, 18 to go til I’ve got a routine. Three down and 28 to go til I complete my first of 3 30 day sweat once a day challenges!
15 minutes on the elliptical at high resistance/incline
3 sets of 25 of each:
Leg press (with 100 lbs)
Chest Flies (with 5 lb weights)
Then I ran home. It was probably 20 degrees when I scooted over to the gym at the ripe hour of quarter to 6 and 6:30 by the time I left.
Did I mention I learned to make quinoa not in a microwave?! Super. Excited. Except I’m impatient and if rice/quinoa can’t be cooked in a microwave I probably won’t make it. BUT! Quinoa took about the same amount of time as it usually does in the microwave (because I never follow directions).
Today for lunch? I’ve got leftovers of quinoa, stir fried veggies and some chicken with soyaki sauce. If you haven’t tried Trader Joe’s Soyaki sauce you are missing. Out. Lunch was all boxed up along with breakfast so I could just throw it in my nifty lil lululemon bag, and head on out to the door – AND I was 40 minutes EARLY to work.
