Last week, some friends and I planned a socially distanced bonfire – it didn’t happen because of #HolidayStress – where I said I was going to find every 2020 planner I owned and burn it.
I have a tendency to get a bit planner happy and buy multiples for the year. In 2021, I commit to two. A bullet journal (which, TBH, isn’t a real planner – not the way I use it), and a paper planner. Because let’s face it, Google Calendar isn’t the same when it comes to writing ish down which is how I stay on top of life. And honestly, 2020 didn’t do me any favors in that department once I got laid off although I probably needed it more than ever – especially when it comes to organizing all my client work and growing my freelance life.
So, I’m hunting down the best of the best planners for us to stay organized with in 2021.
DayDesigner – Target
This one is a long time favorite of mine and I LOVE this new collaboration with the EveryGirl. This is the one I went with – it’s a tried and true favorite and there are so many pretty options. I like the weekly set up, and that it has space for me to prioritize to-dos for the week AND revisit the best of the month/monthly goals. (Target)
Clever Fox Planner
Last year, I bought a similar one and this was on my shortlist. In 2020, I went with the Simple Elephant one (which is no longer available) but I really like the elements of this one which I also considered at that same time. (amazon)
Power Place Planner
I like planners with an element of the bullet journal concepts – where you can track habits and set goals each week. This one also doesn’t break the bank, and is customizable as far as dates go. (Amazon)
I LOVE the bright colors – and really any planner that’s sleek, and provides a to-do list platform (because I’m obsessed with to-do lists) is a winner in my book. (ban.do)

A friend of mine grabbed this for herself and I gotta say, it’s got some good features! I love the designs, the motivational tidbits, and the structure of the pages. It’s a little pricier than some of the other options but if you like a little meatier of a planner this one could be up your alley. (Pellatini)
