Six Favorite Tops for Fall

September 28, 2020 Leave a Comment

Y’all. It’s almost sweater weather. We’ve had a few solid fall days here in Maryland (though today, it’s like 80 degrees – not so fall-like.) A friend of mine posted this meme and it resonated a million times over. Like summer didn’t even say goodbye, she just packed up her s#!t and left. Accurate.

So, I’ve been perusing all the fall tops – bringing out some old favorites and shopping for some new ones.

The best ones are obviously multipurpose – like the one I wore the other night for date night which also looks on point with leggings for when I want to FEEL dressed up but have… nowhere to go to (buy it here at my pal’s boutique).

Others are just super comfy like the Athleta Uptempo top which is great for fall workouts, hiking, and/or yard work – is a step up from your usual sweatshirt. Not that sweatshirts are bad – the Universal Threads one from Target is one of my go-to tops for days when I got nowhere to go (bonus it comes in many colors!).

Here are my top 6 fall tops (that don’t break the bank).

  1. Tunic Turtleneck – (Exact, similar, similar, similar)
  2. Henley – (exact, similar)
  3. Sweatshirt – (exact)
  4. Athleta Sweatshirt (Exact)
  5. Crewneck Sweater (Exact, similar, similar)
  6. Puff Sleeve Sweatshirt – (Exact, similar)

Like I said, I’m all about multi-purpose – so pieces that look great with leggings and jeans or dressed up for events (not that we’re going to events, shit, we’re still doing church online…) and one that don’t break the bank. The puff sleeve sweatshirt I had my eye on for a while, then it sold out, then it came back and I’m kind of obsessed. Those little details I think really elevate pieces from just being basics.

What are you wearing this fall?
