Last night was epic. It started with tears –
Parting gifts from my team.
I said farewell to my team, sent a sappy email and hit the highroad.
And by highroad I mean Iron Horse Bar.
There was lots of laughter. Joking. Beer. You know, the usual shenanigans.
After the party dispersed, Liz and I headed over to Las Plas – it seemed only fitting since I went there with Hubs the day I had my interview.
I love, love, LOVE Las Placitas – it was where Hubs and I first met, it was a frequent favorite of ours when we lived on Capitol Hill, and it was where we took my brother and his (now ex) girlfriend the week of our wedding when they were all like “YOU MET HERE!” and kept giving us margs on “la casa!” Yowza! But after all the beer and margs and cheese, my tummy is protesting. Trying to figure out what to eat that won’t make my tummy all kj;dlfadka for tomorrow.
I then cabbed it up to NE and stayed with Lexi. I crashed. This morning, I took the van pool back to Annapolis, ran a couple errands and then relaxed for a bit before going for a short 3.25 mile run.
I’ve had a hard time just…motivating myself. Everything feels like it’s so much effort. I needed a nap. Not a run. But ultimately, as is always the case – I felt so much better.
Now I’m going to go run some errands, try to find a pretty first day of work outfit for Monday and a green running top for tomorrow and then relax at home with a pasta dinner and a movie before my race tomorrow!
