National Running Day

Today marks national running day. Huzzah! One of my favorite days of the year if I might say. Last year I likely got some miles in, and was fresh off a 10k PR. But this year? I’ll be going for a pseudo family run tonight at the track once the husband gets home this afternoon, I’d like to get a good 3-4 miles in, he wants to get in two. We’re going to do some 400m sprints and hand off baby for recovery since he’s too young for the jogging stroller/jogging in general so recovery will be a super slow jog/walk so it’ll be good for him. But for now…I wanted to share why I run.

 Why do I run? To challenge myself. To stay in shape. To constantly be doing better. Going faster or farther. To be the best version of myself always and to always try my best whether I’m running 1 mile or 26. To have ten minutes or an hour to myself…just me and my thoughts.
