I love doing these little catch-up blogs once a month or so. I love reading them on other blogs because so often I find new shows, books, podcasts, or whatever to check out. So once a month I try to share what I’m loving lately 🙂
Mocktail city over here. I’m really loving my own mock-orange crush but my pal is the mocktail queen. Last night she made Mock-Strawberry mojitos while we sat out in her carport and they were 100% on point. I need to up my mocktail game!
We just finished The Morning Show on Apple+ TV and holy crap, what an amazing show. The cast was stellar and the story was just… on point. A little heavy but just…wow. I can’t wait for season 2. I’m looking for something a little lighter next.
I just finished this book and it WRECKED me. So so good. I loved One Day in December so I knew I would love The Two Lives of Lydia Bird. Now I’m reading Anna K. (a modern take on Anna Karenina) and I just bought Rodham – the new release by Curtis Sittenfeld (one of my favorite authors) and I can not WAIT to dive in.
These camo leggings. I know a lot of people who think lululemon is overpriced (it is. Ten years ago the crops of these would have been $70-80. Now they’re a pretty penny more) But damn if they aren’t comfortable AF and smooth as buttah. These were a mother’s day/birthday gift and I LOVE them. I’m also obsessed with so many camo things lately so this fits the bill for moi. Also, this cute little knotted top and this pretty spring sweater both from my friend’s boutique which are both great pieces with shorts or with leggings for those days when you want to feel put together without much effort.
This dress is currently in my cart because even us short girls deserve pretty and simple maxi dresses. Also, I love the muscle tank look to it. Also, how about some Athleta masks? I might add those with this tank top because the Athleta Cloudlight light is my absolute favorite. Finally, a C table is definitely in our future so I can work not at the table.
The arrival of our new patio furniture. We got our table a few years ago used, so we upgraded but since it gets really buggy outside, we went with more loungey furniture (also we have an umbrella that we can stick out to add some shade). I can not wait to sit out and work and write and just… catch some vitamin D on our back deck. Also, our new HVAC unit which is long overdue. Last week it was 85 degrees and our little HVAC that could didn’t cool our house below 76 degrees…which was not comfortable for sleeping.
Wanting to Try
I saw a few people on Instagram post about the Watermelon night mask at Trader Joes so I’m itching to pop down to Annapolis to pick it up. I’m also out of moisturizer so I’m thinking of picking up this one since Pacifica is a solid brand and has a cleanser that I love. Since this whole quarantine thing started, I’ve definitely been upping my skincare game so this should be a delightful find.
