Today I dropped off the hubs at BWI. I should have taken a picture of him, in his handsome uniform before he jetted off, but we were about twenty minutes later than we should have been thanks to the fact that he neglected to pack the night before. Whoops? At least I didn’t cry until i got home…and then it was ugly. Like. Really sloppy, big fat ugly sobbing out loud like a baby crying. Is it June yet???
I headed home, finally went grocery shopping (only spent a whopping $30 for myself for a week! WIN! While I love the hubs and I would much rather have him home, I do enjoy cooking for myself and the budget I stick to while doing so).
This week’s meals…
I’m not going to super plan out my meals on the weekends and just go by the seat of my pants because I can. However, all workouts will be planned during the 31 day challenge.
I still haven’t figured out why, despite my best efforts, when hubs was home, we couldn’t motivate ourselves to get our butts in gear – whether it was running up in CT or running this weekend. Perhaps it was because we knew our time was limited and wanted to make the most of it not really wanting to worry about working out but rather spending mornings entangled with each other in bed. Since he’s left, I’ve picked myself back up and back on the wagon if you will. After all, I’ve got races to train for and a weight loss challenge to win.
Here are the stats…
Hubs starting weight (9/11) (not disclosed)
Me starting weight (9/11) ~154
Hubs Dec weight (12/11) -30lbs
Me Dec weight (12/11) ~141
Hub Jan weight (1/2/11) +5 lbs
Me Jan weight (1/2/11) 139 (!!!!!)
Hubs goal weight: table weight for his height in the Army is 168
Me goal weight: 120
Total lost (hubs): ~35 lbs (from date of enlistment not from when he left for BCT)
Total lost (me): ~13 lbs
To go: 19 lbs
Now granted, he was doing 1 hour of PT every day at BCT and then some. Moving. Constantly. I struggle with a 2.5 hour round trip commute and 8 hours of sitting on my arse at a desk. But you know, you just kind of have to roll with the punches. Either way, we both made great strides.
To go: Approximately 19 weeks. Might I add the army is a SNEAKY lil bastard by making them all change their flights to Jan 2 (MANDATORY) while at BCT but it turns out they don’t need to report until TOMORROW NIGHT. THAT’S AN EXTRA DAY I COULD HAVE HAD! 🙁 Essentially if I lose a pound a week, I’ll my goal by the time hubs graduates from AIT. #winning?
31 Day Challenge (Part 1)
Spun at Evolutions tonight and activated the 3 month membership I won at Pig and Pearls back in October so that’s baller. Was the only one in class – AWESOME. Burnt about 280 calories in about 45 mins (it was like an intro to Spinning class since they have these fancy schmancy bikes that I didn’t know how to use) – pretty amazing workout.
