8 Great Holiday Reads

December 22, 2020 Leave a Comment

I’ve been in a full on Holiday reading mode. A few of them have absolutely captivated me and sucked in for an entire day – which honestly, almost never happens anymore. BUT This list is some that I’ve read lately, others from years past and some on my TBR list. You’ll see a trend of my love of British Chick Lit – but seriously, it’s… just one of my favorite genres. No explanation needed. I’ve finished at least three of these in the past two weeks and I have 0 regrets.

This Time Next Year by Sophie Cousens
I devoured this one in a day. I think that speaks for itself. You’re going to see a trend that most of my favorite reads on this list are British Chick Lit (rom coms?) but honestly, they’re so feel good and just… happy. This one was super (was a Book of the Month Read that I LOVED – if you haven’t tried it, sign up here to get your first box for $10) .

In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren
So I LOVED this book. At first, I was skeptical and found it hard to get into, but by the end, I absolutely adored it. It was the December Book of the Month – though I grabbed it on Kindle before I realized that.

One Day in December by Josie Silver
This one was DELIGHTFUL and was a 2019 favorite and is perfect for a cozy, holiday feel-good read.

Royal Holiday by Jasmine Guillory
I love ANYTHING by Jasmine Guillory, and this one was NO different. Honestly – Christmas, Britain, and the Royals? Thats a recipe for a delightful read IMO.

Shopaholic Christmas by Sophie Kinsella
While I ENJOYED this, I read it quickly to get it over with. I didn’t LOVE the Shopaholic series when it first came out because the main character can seem a bit trite? (Is that a good word for her?) But in general, it was enjoyable for an easy, don’t have to think about it, kind of read.

Christmas in Vermont by Anita Hughes
So this is actually on my TBR list. I’m not going to deny any book about Christmas in Vermont, especially not this year when I’m homesick for my family.

We Met in December by Rosie Curtis
This book was SUPER sweet and another delightful British Chick Lit read – which honestly, is one of my favorite genres. It was another 2019 read, so if you HAVEN’T read it, I highly recommend as an easy, holiday read.

12 Dates of Christmas by Jenny Bayliss
This book was SUPER cute and delightfully British. So many fantastic characters, and an endearingly small British village – which, if I’m going to be honest, I want to move to.

Did I miss one? Have a holiday read that you recommend? Share in the comments!
